Difference between Priority and Severity

Severity-How badly the bug affects the application?
For eg:If an application crashes once in a while or rarely,then severity=major and priority=low

Priority-The order/scheduling for fixing the bugs by developer
For eg If company name is misspelled in site logo,then severity=minor and priority=high
